Saturday night, Poolen was truly transformed into an intimate warehouse party as the French Alric cousins from The Blaze took over with their DJ set. I’ve seen them four times before in their live format with the big screens and full production, but never like this — so I was pretty excited. Luckily, they didn’t disappoint.
The bass hit hard from the very beginning, and it quickly turned into a massive dance party. The sound was really good — clean and heavy in just the right way — and the lighting worked perfectly with the music.
Adellic and Ario handled the warm-up and did a great job. They built up the atmosphere so the transition to The Blaze felt completely natural.
All in all, it was a very successful night, where The Blaze proved that their universe works just as well in a DJ set as it does in their large, carefully staged live productions.
