Efter en succesfuld Freedom Tour 2023 annoncerer det legendariske rockband, JOURNEY, at de udvider deres tour i 2024 med endnu flere shows. Her tilføjer de shows rundt i Skandinavien og kommer til Aarhus lørdag 8. juni i Tivoli Friheden. Touren er opkaldt efter JOURNEYs seneste album ”Freedom” som udkom i 2022. Bandet, der har opnået en diamantcertificering og er optaget i Rock & Roll Hall of Fame, er kendt for globalt hitlistetoppende sange som “Don’t Stop Believin”, “Any Way You Want It”, “Faithfully”, “Lights”,m.fl.
JOURNEY består af Neal Schon (lead guitar), der var med til at stifte bandet, Jonathan Cain (keyboard og backing-vokal), Arnel Pineda (lead vokal), Jason Derlatka (keyboard og vokal), der også var en af medstifterne, Deen Castronovo (trommer og vokal) og Todd Jensen (bas). Neal Schon er blevet optaget i tre forskellige Hall of Fames, heriblandt, Oklahoma Fall of Fame, Rock & Roll Hall of Fame og the Grammy Hall of Fame. Jon Cain har modtaget to BMI songwriter awards og er også optaget i Rock & Roll Hall of Fame som medlem af Journey.
Når JOURNEY til sommer gæster Tivoli Friheden i Aarhus bliver det i forbindelse med det udendørs koncertformat, ’Summer Session’, hvor Tivoli Frihedens scene på den smukke Event-ø danner rammen om koncerten. Med som special guest kommer det svenske rockband EUROPE, der bl.a. er kendt for megahittet ”The Final Countdown”.

Here they add shows around Scandinavia and come to Aarhus on Saturday 8 June in Tivoli Friheden. The tour is named after JOURNEY’s latest album “Freedom”, which was released in 2022. The band, which has achieved a diamond certification and is inducted into the Rock & Roll Hall of Fame, is known for global chart-topping songs such as “Don’t Stop Believin”, “Any Way You Want It”, “Faithfully”, “Lights”, etc.

When JOURNEY visits Tivoli Friheden in Aarhus this summer, it will be in connection with the outdoor concert format, ‘Summer Session’, where Tivoli Friheden’s stage on the beautiful Event Island forms the setting for the concert. The Swedish rock band EUROPE comes as a special guest, who, among other things, is known for the mega hit “The Final Countdown”.
